Aries Agro Offers Tech-CSR Initiatives for Rural Education and Assistive Healthcare

Aries Agro, a provider of micronutrients and specialised plant nutrition, is strengthening its CSR efforts in 2026 through two technology-led social impact initiatives focused on Education and Healthcare & Assistive Technology. The programmes are designed to address critical gaps in rural digital access, gender equity in education, and access to advanced assistive technologies for persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Through these initiatives, Aries Agro aims to create measurable and sustainable impact across underserved communities, with a combined direct reach of over 2,000 rural students, 55 visually impaired individuals and 90 upper-limb amputees across different parts of India.
The first initiative focuses on bridging the rural digital and gender divide in education by establishing computer infrastructure and dedicated STEM education programmes for young girls in rural Rajasthan. In collaboration with IndiVillage Foundation and rural schools in Rajasthan, the programme will provide structured training to 600 girls aged 6–16 in computer fundamentals, coding, AI, software design and game development,while an additional 1,500 rural school students will benefit from foundational digital literacy.
By creating sustained access to digital infrastructure and future-ready learning, the initiative aims to equip rural students with skills that can improve educational outcomes, strengthen workforce readiness and create greater opportunities for young girls in technology-led fields.
The second CSR initiative addresses the socio-economic barriers faced by persons with disabilities by providing access to advanced assistive technologies and rehabilitation support. Aries Agro is supporting 55 visually impaired college students and working professionals in Lucknow and Ahmedabad with AI-powered smart glasses designed to enhance their independence in education, employment and everyday activities.
The smart glasses can convert printed text into audio in 20 languages and feature capabilities such as object, currency, medicine and sign recognition. By reducing dependence on scribes or assistants for routine tasks, the technology is intended to enable beneficiaries to navigate academic, professional and personal environments with greater confidence and autonomy.
The initiative also extends support to 90 underprivileged individuals, primarily farmers and daily wage earners, across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, who have experienced upper-limb amputations due to agricultural and workplace accidents. Aries Agro is facilitating the custom fitting and distribution of lightweight, electronically functional prosthetic hands capable of gripping objects and lifting weights of up to 10 kg.
The programme goes beyond the provision of assistive devices by incorporating physiotherapy training and personalised counselling, supporting beneficiaries in adapting to and effectively using the prosthetic technology over the long term. For agricultural workers and farmers, the intervention is aimed at helping restore the ability to perform essential activities including driving, farming, writing and self-care, thereby supporting greater personal independence and economic participation.
The CSR programmes are being implemented through collaborations with specialised technology developers, NGOs and educational institutions. Key partners include IndiVillage Foundation, rural schools in Rajasthan, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow, and specialised assistive technology organisations such as Torchit Foundation, enabling the deployment of AI-powered smart glasses, and Inali Foundation, facilitating in the provision of custom electronic prosthetic hands.
The initiatives reflect Aries Agro’s broader approach to CSR, with a focus on combining technology, education and specialised support to address practical challenges faced by underserved communities.
Through its rural education intervention, Aries seeks to build long-term digital infrastructure while enabling young girls to access STEM education and future-ready skills. Its assistive healthcare programme, meanwhile, aims to make advanced technology more accessible to individuals whose educational, professional and economic opportunities may otherwise be constrained by visual or physical disabilities.
