Cyber Attackers Claim of 1 TB Data Breach at Bank of Baroda not Confirmed by Bank

The hacking group has claimed that it has breached 1 TB of data of Bank of Baroda customers. Their Aadhar card numbers, banking details, loan applications, their application details etc. The data may belong to 1lakh to 3 lakh customers.

However, the Bank of Baroda, the RBI and CERT-In team have not yt confirmed the data breach.

Till a confirmation comes from the Bank, RBI or CERT-In, his information should be treated as a precautionary information.

Several Linkedin members have howeer, written about this claimed data breach.

The customer of Bank of Baroda should however, take steps to ensure that their data is safe. They should change their passwords. They should not share their OTPs, should look out for unusual transactions and report suspicious activity to the bank immediately.
