Saksham Rozgar Society (SRS), a non-governmental organisation focused on youth employability and job creation in Uttar Pradesh, has launched the fourth edition of its free online Business and Accounts Training programme. The month-long training began on April 1st and is being conducted daily from 9 pm to 10 pm.

The programme opened with an orientation session by former Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Narender Chand (IRS). During the session, he addressed students on civil services, career opportunities in accounts education and the evolving job market. The session also featured an interaction led by Jyotika Kalra, President, Saksham Rozgar Society and was attended by around 80 students. Contd

The training is designed to equip students with practical, job-oriented skills in accounting and related areas. Sessions will cover accounting fundamentals, journal entries, ledger maintenance, profit and loss accounts, and balance sheets in both manual and Tally formats. Students will also be introduced to the basics of GST, TDS, income tax returns, Excel, and the practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for business efficiency.

“Employability today depends on practical skills, digital readiness and workplace confidence,” said Jyotika Kalra, President, Saksham Rozgar Society. “Our aim is to make quality, job-oriented training accessible and free for young people across Uttar Pradesh.”

The programme is being led by a faculty comprising around 12 Chartered Accountants, 2 accountants, 3 lawyers and a former IRS officer. In addition to technical learning, students will also receive exposure to English communication, workplace culture, time management, and emotional intelligence. SRS said deserving students will also be supported with internship and employment opportunities. Its previous session, held in early 2025, trained more than 60 students.

All SRS programmes are offered free of cost and are supported through private donations, without any government funding. The society works closely with Delhi-based Saksham Bharti, drawing on its 25 years of experience in employability initiatives to help students build the skills needed to succeed in a competitive job market.
