Agreements Signed During the UAE President's State Visit to Germany

ADNOC, XRG and Masdar announced agreements with leading German companies, strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and Germany across energy, industry and advanced technology. Together, the agreements have the potential to enable more than €5 billion of investment and deepen cooperation by combining the UAE’s expertise in energy and long-term capital with Germany’s industrial and technological capabilities.
The agreements were signed during the state visit by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Federal Republic of Germany and follow the announcement of €40 billion in intended long-term investment in Germany. The deals with RWE, Securing Energy for Europe (SEFE), MB Energy, Covestro, Siemens Energy, Siemens Industrial and Bosch span liquefied natural gas (LNG), gas, renewable energy, advanced materials and technology. The agreements were announced alongside the launch of the UAE-Germany Investment Council, which will bring government, capital and companies together to identify commercially viable opportunities, remove barriers to investment and accelerate growth in priority sectors.
