Wijs Safety Software is proud to announce it is bringing integrated custom and specialised online training to construction companies on the Wijs Safety Software platform.
The new Learning Management System helps employers improve workplace safety; stay compliant with OSHA, state and local Health & Safety regulations and standards for worker training; and fill the skills gap impacting project delivery. Contd
The skilled labour shortage and skills gap remain stubbornly high across North America, with the gap between supply and demand taking its toll on nearly half of projects. In the AGC-NCCER 2025 State of the Construction Workforce Shortage, nearly 92% of companies reported having difficulty filling positions, and 45% of companies reported project delays due to worker shortages. Even among potential candidates, contractors reported that 57% lacked skills and qualifications and 41% didn’t have the required credentials and licenses.
Coupled with an upcoming “silver tsunami” of retiring veteran construction workers exacerbating the labor shortage, it’s clear that employers urgently require all the assistance they can get to meet their need for skilled trades and construction specialists. The Wijs Learning Management System and partnerships with specialised training providers are intended to help contractors train up to meet that need.
“The new integrated Learning Management System will enable Wijs clients to create and host their company training to meet their unique certification and micro-credential needs, in addition to providing access to online training from specialized training providers,” says Steve Hall, CEO of Wijs. “At the same time, Wijs Safety Software intelligently tracks, manages and flows certification delivery to the worker and company safety management system to ensure they’re compliant and up to date.”
