Vertiv Supports IIT Madras Collaboration with Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University

Vertiv a provider of critical digital infrastructure, supports the expansion of IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation's datacentre skilling initiative into Maharashtra through its CSR programme. As part of this initiative, IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation also signed a MoU with the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University (RTMSSU) in the presence of Maharashtra Governor, Jishnu Dev Varma, during the "Start-up Frontier 1.0" exhibition and conference held at the Y B Chavan Auditorium in Mumbai.
Vertiv has partnered with IIT Mumbai, IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation and IIT (BHU) to help engineering students build practical skills in data center operations and AI-ready infrastructure. Leveraging its deep expertise in power, cooling, and IT infrastructure, Vertiv will provide free skill development training to 1,500 engineering students in datacentre operations and digital infrastructure management in 2026. This builds on the collaboration launched by Vertiv and IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation in 2025 to strengthen India's pipeline of skilled talent for the rapidly growing digital infrastructure sector. RTMSSU will leverage its network of pre-incubation centers across 60 colleges in Maharashtra to extend the program's reach. Students will receive certified online training along with internship and mentorship opportunities designed to prepare them for careers in data center operations and digital infrastructure management.
