Women's Day - Empowering Women Through Banking

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Bank of India reaffirmed its commitment to supporting women’s financial empowerment by highlighting a range of dedicated banking products and services designed to promote financial independence, security and holistic well-being for its women employees and customers across India. Among its key offerings is the Nari Shakti Savings Account, a specially curated banking solution, structured as a zero-balance account and categorised into five tiers based on Average Quarterly Balance (AQB). The Bank currently offers free accident insurance coverage up to Rs 200 lakh under this scheme.

The proposition is complemented by the RuPay Star Lakshmi Contactless Platinum International Credit Card, which offers a range of lifestyle, health and travel benefits. Cardholders can avail themselves of complimentary annual subscriptions to leading entertainment platforms such as Sony LIV, Amazon Prime or Jiostar, along with a complimentary annual health check-up that includes key preventive screenings. For travel convenience, the card provides complimentary domestic airport lounge access twice per quarter and international lounge access twice annually. Additional benefits include 24x7 concierge services, insurance cover of up to Rs 2 lakh under the RuPay Insurance Programme, and 2X loyalty points on POS and E-commerce transactions.

Bank of India across its all establishments marked International Women’s Day with diverse activities. Bank at its Head Office in Mumbai, celebrated International Women’s Day with a vibrant cultural programme that brought together women employees to recognise and celebrate their contributions.

The event featured games, dance, singing and other competitions organised especially for women, with female participants displaying great enthusiasm and spirit throughout the programme. The Executive Directors of Bank, PR Rajagopal, Subrat Kumar, Rajiv Mishra, Pramod Kumar Dwivedi and Chief Vigilance Officer, Vishnu Kumar Gupta were present on the occasion. The event was also attended by the Chief General Manager (HR).

The celebration of event was also graced by the presence of Chief Guests, Jasleen Kohli (MD & CEO, Digit Insurance), Dr. Kakoly Borthakur (Director, Aarti Diagnostic Centre) and Abirami B (VP & Head Reasearch, CRIF High Mark). 

On International Women’s Day, the Bank reiterates its continued focus on enabling women to participate more actively in India’s economic growth journey through accessible and inclusive financial services.
